This is just a delightful image brought about by a photographer's due diligence for moments beyond the obvious. Well done!

An odd, unexpected, apparent grab shot. Though the composition is not great, it is fascinating to look at what everyone is doing, including many oblivious to the kid being thrown in the air. This is an image that Cartier-Bresson would get from a wedding (except in black & white and of course, perfect compositon).

I love the sense of mystery here. Well composed, good grabbed moment.

Of all the fireworks photos submitted, this was the best one. It has an uncluttered background, the fireworks are sharp and the couple are not smack center in the photo. Very nicely done.

A very nice toast shot, that even though it centers on the bride, the groom is in it as well as some of the guests. Very clean.

Great expressions on the bride and groom are framed nicely against the dark sky and people holding the sparklers. This photo has energy and projects a feeling that this wedding was a lot of fun. Wish there was a little bit more space at the top so the groom's fist wasn't so close to the edge of the frame.

In the midst of what are usually raucous receptions, this was a very tender moment. Very genuine, very sweet.

Great faces on the kids running to the bride. It's a split second before they all reach her, which makes the photo work. A nice moment with all the assembled kids running to the bride. Great expressions on the kids' faces and the bride as well.

A solid action shot of the groom being thrown in the air. The groom's expression and body placement is perfect. Excellent mid-air toss. Really gets a sense of the moment and the fun in the room.

A kiss from left field. Good grab. These moments don't linger.

I liked this photo the best of all the sleeping shots because it also showed this mostly eaten, huge plate of food. If the photo had been just of the child, it wouldn't have that much of an impact, but because the food was included, you know EXACTLY why the child has crashed.

Late night lighting and color set up the contrast between the elegance of the wedding dress and it's surroundings, to create the lasting postcard quality of this photograph.

Intimacy of moment and clean composition combine to make this image successful.

Perfect timing on the toast by the best man. Both the bride and groom show great emotion and getting a few of the guests laughing too helps.

Nice version of the bouquet shot. Well composed. You can almost feel the tension.

Timing of moment creates a portal to the emotional payoff and entry point into the action of this image. The slow exposure and subsequent blur add to the energy.
