Beautiful moment captured perfectly when the bride wipes her tears on her arm. This picture really makes me feel something. You don’t need to see her face to feel her emotion.

Great feeling of motion in this picture. You’ve caught the excitement and the selective focus has isolated them from the crowd. Great shot.

A very unexpected first dance moment. It makes you really wonder what their lives are going to be like. Their expressions and body language are great. A moment like that is rarely captured at any event, much less a wedding. They are probably just joking around but it’s still unique.

I think this is a bit cheesy but really, really well done for what it is. The composition is great, including the entire shadows, the moon and the reflection of the moon on the water is the icing on the cake. The photographer took a beautiful setting and used it to its fullest potential.

Simple, sweet loving moment between the couple, you can feel the scruffy kiss.

Excellent wide shot that gives us a great perspective, yet tells the story. Nice depth and light on the couple.

This was the nicest “tight” shot of the first dance. The photo is full of emotion and you see enough of both people to know that they are the bride and groom, dancing and in love.

This elevated dancing shot brings everything together - who, what, where and why. Very colorful, nicely composed. And the photographer waited to make sure there was a frame where you could see the faces of the bride and the groom.

Different look to a first dance, liked the tight composition.

I love that the photographer focused on the outskirts of the first dance. The angle is also unique and really works for this frame. The girl’s expression, the angle, shooting into the light to emphasize the highlights on her face and her arm and the framing of the bride and groom all works really well.

Technically a challenging photo to make—spotlight, motion, low light. But, photographer did it and did it well. The twirl of the dress and the faces on the couple work well together. Looks like the photographer invested time to make sure he/she made the best frame.

This just has a really nice feel to it. It feels very natural. The composition and placement of their faces merging together in the frame tells the story of them really merging together as a married couple.

Different approach to the first dance. The one eye is great. Could use some cropping to tighten the image up.
