I think all of the layers of glasses throughout this photo, when combined with her expression, makes for a wonderful moment that sums up the pleasure and enjoyment derived from these toasts. The lighting was difficult but handled well to make this successful.
Bride nicely framed during toast. This was one of the more creative toasting photos. Many in this category were very literal. Nice moment, nice composition.

Clean and mean can be the best way to make the picture sometimes. In this frame, it works. Clean composition, the moment framed with the glasses rounds it out.
The exuberance on the subject’s face makes this image. The layers of the image provide great depth. Shot from below adds to the feeling of excitement and fun.

A different angle combined with a great expression, even the tilted horizon, make this a dynamic toasting photo.
Liked the action and vigor of this toast. Interesting composition.
The photographer took a risk with the composition and it worked because of the great expressions on a couple of the faces. The expression on the man on the left makes it. It’s got a lot of life to it.

Very imaginative way of recording the orator of the toast. It paid off well as the out of focus lights add a wonderful atmosphere to the whole scene. Between the camera screen and the out of focus woman, we know exactly what is going on. Composed well and nice use of available lighting.
Tremendous use of color, selective focus and foreground framing to capture the toast.

A wink is very difficult to get. Great job by the photographer, good reflexes.
Of course the grooms expression makes it. I don’t know if the bride is going to have a life full of laugher or a life full of frustration. Cropping in from the sides and down from the top to clean it up would have helped a lot, the top is distracting from the great expression.

Got Milk? This was just a funny moment. Not the most creative toast photo but a great moment. This one makes you LOL.
Liked that this was different and loved the bride's expression.

The unsusal crop made this one stand out from the others.
Photographer's Comment
This photograph was shot in the glimpse of a second. The best man was extremely nervous about making a speech so it was very short. Luckily he was sitting in a spot where I could capture both the bride and groom and him in the same frame. I wanted to keep it interesting though and so I decided to make the photograph more 'about' a speech, then about the reaction to the speech.

Great way to utilize the atmosphere of the location and the decorations, and, still say “toast.” A good example of how standing back sometimes, and placing these moments somewhere, can lead to big dividends.

Great moment and expression. Some photographers might have shot it really tight but keeping it looser and giving his eyes room to the left and keeping the hands/glasses in gives it the context it needs to tell the story.

The couple’s reaction and the wide-eyed face tell the story of what must be a hilarious moment in the reception. Great timing.

Timeless photograph with wonderful expressions. It could be printed a bit better with better detail in the foreground (just a bit). Great slice of life from the “Toast.”

This frame really captures the great variety of emotion and reactions during toasts. Toasts often elicit embarrassment and laughter and this image captures that. The photographer was really watching and tuned in to their emotion.

Coming in extremely tight, throwing a bit of caution to the wind, and in the end it paid off with a fun expression filled frame with a mass of glasses. I wish the woman’s arm with the bracelet was darker - it compliments the action, but by being so glaringly white, it takes a bit away.

Beautiful light and tenderness of the kiss.

Excellent use of selective focus on the hand and glass. Your background has blurred nicely, yet still allows us to make out the face. Would crop tighter on the left side to tighten the image up.
