This is all about access. The lens and light are perfect- it is a very quick read--which could have easily gotten lost.
This was an absolutely hilarious image. I only wished I could have seen the after moment. Great composition, however cropping on the left side would have cleaned up this image a little better.

Great depth of field. Being right on top of the action with a wide angle brings an intimacy coupled with humor.
Panic and stressful moments can be humorous. The bride is obviously trying to find something in her dress, and bridesmaids look so stressed. Nicely composed with bride in the center, and bridesmaids off to two sides.
Not sure what's she's wrestling with, but its a lot of fun to guess. The bridesmaid to the right adds to it because she's not quite sure if she wants to jump in and help her out or just stay back. One thing that also makes this one work is the light dress popping out as the darker dresses frame the bride. A small thing, but with such a messy background, an important element.

What a great picture. You definitely get the sense that bride must pee fast before someone walks in on them. This image goes beyond the usual dance floor, cutting of the cake, ceremony. This is gritty and raunchiness of life. I love the way the bridesmaid has a cigarette in her mouth and she's also on the look out. Terrible if you ever have to use a porta potty, unimaginable to have to use it on your wedding day.
Great raw humor was exposed here ,told from inside the stall of a port-o-pot. This image was understated but very effective.

The wide angle lens and perspective puts the viewer right in the room. The light, the lens, the composition all work. The background has a lot going on but it is subdued enough to work fine. The focus is slightly off. Looks like it was a center weighted focus and it needed to be on the right side of the frame, but the depth of field was enough to carry it.

Very interesting picture with all the people in the mirror. One has to do a double take to appreciate this image. At first you think it's a poster or a painting they are holding, then you realize it's a mirror and you can see all the commotion going on on the other side of the room through the mirror. Very crafty picture. Nice amusement reaction by people holding the mirror as well.
Photographer's Comment
In that part of the country it is customary to make the last adjustments to the bride's preparations in front of a mirror that is held by the bridesmaid and the best man. After the godparents finished arranging the bride and the groom, they made a role change and so the bride and groom, helped by a few guests, made some adjustments to the godparents. The smiles on their faces were caused by the bride who perfumes the godmother's decolletage. The photographic challenge was quite big. I had to photograph in the mirror, but also to compensate for the light coming through the window. I set the camera on aperture priority and an overexposure of 2/3 and on the blitz I used a light diffuser that I set on the second curtain and normal exposure. ,

This was a great moment of the bride caught up in her dress on a windy day. Beautifully executed!

This was subtle humor here. Hilarious as the gentleman to the right sips from his teacup. Great moment!

The moment is in the feet flying up in the air and the bride's expression. This could have been a REALLY embarrassing picture for the bride if her dress hadn't fallen the way it had.

Fun dancing picture. The woman's confident face makes this image.

It’s ribald and predictable and still made me laugh. Better light would have helped here. Strong bounce is probably what it required. There is a slight lack of sharpness. I do like the limited depth of field.

Treasured moment for sure. The eye contact. The hand placements. Wow. Great, great moment. Offers a peek into the bride's future perhaps. The only knock on this image is the window frame cutting through the woman's face on the right. The bridesmaids also bothered me a bit since one of them had hair cutting through the other's face, but then I figured it actually helped the image by allowing the viewer to go straight to the important part of the image... the bride and her pregnant friend.

This image shows the insight of a thinking photographer, waiting and watching for the right moment. I loved the detail of the pair of legs one foot broken and the gentleman’s partner in danger of hers being broken as well. Great!

Don't know if this is funny or sad. I went with funny. The woman really looks like she's wrestling with herself. To drink or not to drink? Maybe she's seeing the morning after in her mind before it happens? The image itself is amazing. Beautiful color and light. Nice, simple composition.

Being so close with the wide made this work. Any more distance and the moment would have been lost. A slightly tigher crop on the right hand side would have balanced the composition. And getting rid of the woman on the far right would have focused attention tighter on the action going on. It's fun that the couple is oblivious to the cameras on either side.
