Great action picture, great unanticipated moment. Hilarious too. Expression is great. Love bride's hands just coming in enough on the right of the frame, adds to the energy and momentum of the moment, but not too much that it takes away from the focus of the groom.

Wedding rituals can be a little strange... especially without a caption. The groom's gaping mouth is the first thing I went to in this picture. But as I looked around the frame the story started coming together. The groomsmen separating him from his pleading bride whose arms just out from the right of the frame. The band playing on as the lead singer takes in the other show. B&W was a good choice since I'm sure color would have created some problems.

The low angle, the wide lens, and dragging the shutter while popping the strobe gives this image energy. Party time conveyed in a fun, buoyant way.   An even lower angle would have probably been better.  There is a little distortion from the severe tilt and I would have liked to see an even wider field of vision.   Still, this one makes me smile and nod.

This image captured the spirit of the wedding celebration. The moment between the bridesmaids was accentuated with motion blur and the stop action.

This image definitely stood a head above the rest. This was a great moment captured by the photographer. One could only wish they were in the room to see the outcome of this tangled situation.

Definitely a peak action. Men behaving badly, a great moment. Love the face just above the water, muddy feet. Photographer had the right angle and snapped it just at the right moment.

This was a great moment caught at peak action as the men flew into the pool of water. What this image lacked in composition was made up for in moment.

It's so ridiculous it works. The wide angle gives good perspective--although I wish the perspective wasn't titled. This had to be frozen action, any blur and it wouldn't have worked the same.

This photo has layers of composition. Bride and groom kissing is the action, but they are blurred so the focus is on the family and friends watching them and reacting to the kiss. It's a nicely lined up image with content in foreground and background all in one frame.

YMCA? Praising the Lord? I'm not sure without a caption, but I'm sure its a great picture. The sea of arms and the one guy on the left of the frame just pops out with his mouth open wide. The disco balls mimic each other and add a cool graphic element. The color is sweet as are the people in the foggy background. Great moment AND scene setter. Many times it pays off to back away from your subjects.

Not exactly action-packed, but the quietness of tear down really hit me. Excellent composition. Great light. Even the moment is there. This is why photographers need to stick around a little longer if they want to get the different pictures.

There were many, many bouquet throwing images in this contest, but this one was the best. Perfect composition. Cool use of shadows. Perfect moment with the bouquet landing in between the two buildings and about two feet from the outstretched hands (and in the shadow). The bride is nice, but the topper on the image is the little girl in the polka dot dress walking out of the frame on the left. Oblivious to the whole thing. Amazing. As flower tosses go, this one smokes.

Dragging the shutter, rear curtain sync, and possibly moving the camera while the shutter was open combined with a different looking limbo pole made this fun.

Right lens, right place, right light and good action.  Being prepared was the key.  The photographer anticipated the action and was in exactly the right spot.

Scary, yet fun. I'm not sure why I think there was a lot of alcohol being consumed at this reception, but... Way to fill the frame. Great subjects throughout the frame. The bride sitting tall, prim and proper is also a funny touch. These guys are going to be remembering this image for a long, long time.

This image looked like the rehearsal for a play rather than a scene between the groom and friends. What a hilarious moment!
