Kids (being kids)

This is as close to perfect as you can get in a candid photograph. It’s so good it almost looks choreographed. The lens compression, the composition--just excellent. It’s cropped very tightly, but that just emphasizes the moment.
The kids, obviously, make this image. However, everything else is also working in the frame. The bride's dress sweeping up from the bottom of the frame; the cheering bridal party in the background; the tight cropping into the subjects from all sides forces the viewer into the frame. Sweet, memorable image.

This is true, kids do this. It is not only a nice behind the scenes picture of a bride getting dressed, but also great moment of kids reacting to the bride in her underwear.
Now that's access. And, I might add, invisibility. The photographer is nowhere to be seen in this photograph. Beautiful light (in a tough situation), framing (of the bride's face in the picture frame), moment and even color (mixed) all somehow work together. The bridesmaids in the background also add an interesting bit of storytelling as they rush around to take care of their responsibilities.

Teasing and a target practice. Unusual situation of kids playing and goofing off at a weeding. A great moment. The image is nicely lined up, nice action with ball in the air, and great expression on kids faces.

This photo made me laugh out loud. I loved the irritation in the young boy’s face while the gentlemen fixed his shirt ignoring his lack of pants. It was a great moment and composed well with a clean background.

The soft back light emphasizes the youth and playful nature of the girls. The content is gentle and sweet, and so is the light. It’s clean, simple and wastes no steps.

What a find. Twins getting goofy with their matching ties. I'm guessing they're identical, in more ways than just looks, by their reaction. The soft light and color as well as the shallow depth-of-field (to de-emphasis the cluttered background) all work to showcase these two boys.

This image was a sweet moment between the bride and ring bearer. I chose it for its overall journalistic quality.

Nice contrast of sizes, shapes and ages. An intimate and loving moment between an elder and a child.
What a great moment. The kid is just enveloped in his grandfather (who I've nicknamed Grandfather Bear). Talk about creating a cherished moment. This is it. If I ever have grandkids, I hope there's a photographer good enough to capture a moment like this in our lives. Simple and clean. Its ALL about the moment and the subjects' relationship.

I wish there was a caption to this picture, but I suppose I'm going to have to assume this is a moment before the wedding when these girls were being told how to stand with the bride at the altar. It's fun to imagine what is going on in the minds of these two. A glimpse into their future. Beautiful light and the informality of the rehearsal work really well together. The wedding dress also adds a piece of nice storytelling.

Nice pictorial pictures, nice line of kids in context of the landscape. The wedding procession becomes a pattern in the landscape. Nice way to give a sense of place.

This image had great framing and showed great interaction between subjects.

A really nice moment. I usually don’t like grab shots that are center weighted but in this case I didn't mind at all. I kept coming back to this image because of it’s charm, and the impact of technology on the kids--and they don’t even realize it’s relatively new, to them it’s old hat. The boy_girl aspect of it is very cute as well.
