Good telephoto shot showing great reaction on the groom and bride. The bubbles really pop out and nicely frame the couple. Lighting is perfect. Wish there wasn't the guy at left in the foreground.

A lot of good pix in this category that made it difficult in choosing the top five. This one, though, stood out because of the groom carrying the bride. His look is wonderful, as is hers (though harder to see). A little too centered in the composition, but you can't beat this moment. (Maybe crop a little from the top and the right.)

The available light and low angle gave this one a more intimate feel than others. A little noise in the file but not enough to knock it down. Great backlit glow, literally. This is a bit different, and the noise in the frame (grain) works well as muted shades of gray work to make the background bright, but soft, and again, glowing.

This took me a minute to catch on to what was happening but once I did, it was instantly the winner. You can just see the groom saying “ok, let's go.†The photographer saw the moment, recognized what was happening and reacted quickly. The composition is not much but it happened so fast you had to shoot first and think later. This did not win on technique or printing or composition but just because it is such a defining moment, caught at precisely the right time. Another really natural, simple, true picture about departure and family love.

The bubbles make this frame. They add excitement and they stand out nicely from the black background. The bubbles make this frame. They add excitement and they stand out nicely from the black background.

A great multi layers story telling picture about departure.

The light makes this photo but the hand really makes it sing. It has energy and the photographer obviously knows how to handle the camera. Beautiful light, beautiful car, a clear message but what is really intriguing is that we don't see their faces. They are just leaving.

There is just something about the straightforward happy directness of this couple and this frame. Nicely composed, and bunched together, the couple (esp the bride) keep you in the frame and returning to their faces, which are a road map of happiness.

The subject here is thrice framed. And the moment is very humorous as well.

Great color and light. Nice reaction caught of the bride. I'd crop out the video cameraman on the right and this would have even more impact.

Serendipity! The bubble is right over his nose. This is technically a poor job but the bubble trumps the problems. It was an accident capturing this image but a happy accident.

A great moment of intimacy, tiredness and love. The reflection seems to project this moment in the future

The bride and groom leave and the photographer is about to pack up when the one, last image happens and in a split second the photographer reacts. This is good photography. Composition is somewhat weak but I like the reaction of the photographer to the scene as it happens.

Everything is right about this one except for the sharpness. Looks like too slow of a shutter speed. But the reaction of the groom is great and the way it's framed is a step above the other similar ones.

Great composition. Nice use of a wide lens.

Tussled with this. The eerieness and difference finally won me over. Where is she going? Where is the groom? What's out there? I like an inconclusive shot, where there is supposition and guesswork, which this invokes. On a couple of levels..the darkness, and the slight movement. It is odd, plain and simple, peculiar, in a word, and therefore intriguing.
