Nice expression and afternoon light with shadows casting to create more dimensions. This works well in color! Good feeling in this picture. I liked that the photographer went for the shadows and the expression on the piano player was a plus. This photo stood out from all the rest. It has nice light and captures the musician enjoying the moment. The framing is well done to allow the shadows to dance on the wall.

Interesting mix of emotions, graphics. The light is harsh but works in this instance. Not a flattering image but a really fun one. The free for all on the stage was a fun picture, good moment, glad it was black and white

This picture really tells the story of the bride, groom, and what music means to a wedding. It's almost as if this musician has this couple is his spell. It is composed wonderfully; the lighting is great, as is the clean background.

These people really like this performer and the photographer had the talent and technical ability to document the singer and the guests. The guests and the admirers are tack sharp. I think it is the mixture of the melting pot of people, the stained walls, the black and white format, and the many expressions but it all seems to come together and center on the man singing on the left side of the frame. Very well balanced.

Nice slice of life where a boy covers his ears as the band plays in the background.

Nice use of rim light on this musician creates a great mood to the image. A well composed photograph by a photographer who took advantage of the light. The photographer had the luck to have a great subject to photograph and he or she took advantage of that good fortune.—Yes, there are lucky photographers.

I liked the energy in this photo. Good visual connection between the musicians and the kids. You can feel the beat in this one.

Nice composition but I wish we could see a little more of the musician's face. Love the people's expressions in the background. The intimacy attracted me to this photo. Fun, quirky composition. Watch those tilts though!

The composition and clean background makes this a very moving photograph. You don't need to see a face to know what's happening.

This picture has soul. The subjects are sharing a note together and without any sound, the picture resonates harmony.

Like the emotion, composition. Wish the singer was sharp as well. Needed more depth of field.

I like the complacency on both the musician and the boy's faces and the black and white documentary style of this image. Sometimes all you need is just a simple little picture with good composition and a subtle moment. This photo gave me all that.

A good moment when a photojournalist records the relationship between a wedding guest and the band. This is what photojournalism is all about.

I like the white background in contrast with the tuxedos. I wish there was more action with the musicians. But, it has a nice style to it, just the same.

Good light, interesting isolation. Excellent long lens selection. Color coordination helps this image. Got a break from the mixed light.

All the attention is on the sax player yet the guy who looks like Ray Charles steals the photo. His tie is messy; he is sweating and looks like he has been working hard.

Traditional band image, well executed.

The kind of photograph that a photojournalist wants to add to a picture story. I can't think of a better picture story subject than a good wedding.
