A sort of confession between the groom and the cake...and made in America...a beautiful feature picture. It's just different. Strange. Unseen in my experience. What is going through his head? Love the setting, and the backstage glance.

This jovial picture has a very interesting structure. Creative angle, complete with fill flash. This is made by a working photographer

A grungy picture with food literally in their faces. The layers work in the triangular reaction of the people on the left, center and right. Having the big bowl of food on the foreground right also helps. Food--sometimes it's a chance to have fun together...

The design of this one works well. The manner in which the girl's arms are leaning against the table; the way in which the arms of the waitress are set; the simplicity of the rows of drinks against the stark white background. And the way the drink in hand is positioned against the white blouse.

The photographer saw this unique thing – a moth landing on the cake – and made the photo before it took off. Finding details like this is a talent.

The bride's face (Avidity? Terror?) makes this picture extremely fun and unusual.

The vibrant colors and the clean feel of the composition combined make this frame.

The seats in the car lead the viewer into the action in the frame. The couple is nicely framed by the car. Plain and simple, a different place to eat cake. Don't see this often, and it is well done to boot. Love the light, and the composition. Very well done. And the gesture is sweet and simple, and there isn't the uproar usually associated with this. A quiet but exuberant moment in one frame.

Simplicity rules. Good shallow depth, and focus on action. Tough to get both expressions often, as you are shooting the back of someone's head often. But this turns the trick, and works well. Very sexy shot as well, which is what this is all about.

Amusing, graphic, mysterious picture...

Photographer can see light and color and knows how it will reproduce on paper or on the screen. Photographer pre-visualized the effect and created the photo knowing exactly what the results would be. This is the result of experience.

This one is included on expression, purely. Notice the mimicking of the gesture with open mouths around the frame. Funny, and a well collected frame with faces forming the boundaries of the principle action, and drawing attention to it and complementing it.

The situation made this work. Not sure why there's all that smoke (dry ice??), but it makes for an interesting picture. Simple composition.
