Great detail here on the hands contrasting her elegant dress. I think what makes this photo is also the layering of the shot through the veil where you see the detail of the beaded veil and the ring

The light, texture and framing all work well in this picture. It's beautiful. This was a beautiful picture. I loved the detail of the embroidery alongside the veil and flowers. A fresh view of the commonplace.

It is amazing the photographer was able to recognize and capture the matching color of the bride's mate's shoes and the grass and compose this image so well. The only thing I would have done is crop the left brides mate out of the picture because her feet are cut out and the hand of the brides mate as well. It would have made the image much stronger. Everything works well in this photo- the green shoes, green

This photo stood out right away when I was going through. Believe it or not it is hard to focus correctly when attempting these reflection shots. There were a few similar to this one but they were just not in focus. The colors of the dress and subtle green light add the right amount of color this picture needs. The composition is well balanced. A winner

Quiet, poignant. Nicely seen. Staying away from a wide angle look was perfect. A keen eye for detail caught the best man not wanting to mess up in his role of giving the ring to the groom

Unique. Graphic. Made me smile. I wish the sky was a little darker. Still an excellent image.

This photo stands out because of the layering of the mood and color in the photo. You start with a candle lit table and then in the background you have the same glow in the sunset with a great layering of the wedding guests.

The butterfly just happened along, with a little luck and a good eye for composition a very nice photograph was made and it should be rewarded.

This simple photo is very storytelling. The bride's nervousness shows as she tightens her fingers during the ceremony. This is documentary photography

This picture could have been a Degas painting had he painted brides. Lovely composition, light and color. Really poetic the way the photographer cropped it

What a great off guard detail. I am sure that the person wearing the shoe would simply die if he was aware of his rear view. The photographer took advantage of this unique situation and made a prizewinning photograph. Not a first prize, but a third prize in my book. Leaving the man's legs in on the right side, shows that the moment was part of the wedding day and part of the wedding day story.

This detail of the bride's cross tells us something about her beyond the obvious and it's beautifully framed by their hands and the out of focus trees in the background, giving us a sense of place.

Great composition, good color made for a different kind of detail. I like pictures that take the viewer beyond the cliches.

Graphic and funny. I love this picture. Choosing not to show their faces made this picture universally wonderful.

The contrast of the dark skin against a white dress, the baby's hand clutching the dress and the older person touching the baby make for a nice moment.

I like the simple design of this detail of the bouquet hanging with the pots and pans. Nice composition and use of color.

Definitely a candid moment in a pretty mundane location. The photographer's good eye and ability to cut out all of the unwanted information, and then the timing to wait for the reach for the dress made this photograph.

A simple curl of hair surrounded by a pleasant peaceful face thrown out of focus. Very nice.

Great details are everywhere, the photographer has to look at a complicated scene and distill it. Nothing more simple than the smile of a bride.

The strength of this photo comes from the contrasting colors and good composition. It's eye-catching.
