Pop culture painting and brilliant notice to color details and moment. Beautiful color composition that is very simple and abstract and uses color and a found moment in a symbolic way. Reminds me of a Sam Abell picture.

I have to think it's a photograph taken once the dancing is over, when the tiredness and the real feelings settle in.

Nice close-up that not every photographer would have seen. The guest with the bride and groom in his glasses and the huge smile on his face tells a story about the relationship between a bride and groom and their friends. It is a detail that is well–caught, original, and tells a universal story.

Interesting detail with tremendous scope, art and layers. Maybe not the most surprising element of detail but in this category this image stood out.

I was concerned (and still am) that the photographers legs are in this reflection. But even so, I like the moment and glad the photographer didn't miss the humor.

Simple picture but a nice moment, nice detail. a little more depth of field and a little more space at the top of the frame would have been good.

Brilliant that someone is seeing well beyond the conventional. This makes me laugh, cringe and rejoice. Want to see more risks from the typical and this hits it.

Nice getting-ready moment that feels very “Martin Parr.†Love the tabloid paper and the way that gives the bride historical context, information about her milieu, and a sense of the relativity of important events.

A young and an old woman showing affection for a man. In some ways it's an image of the young person becoming the old person in time.

Very film noir, dramatic light, well executed.

Nice detail that is familiar and recognizable yet shows me something I have never seen this way. I like the simplicity of the elements and the way the background drops out of focus but the iconic elements (flower on lapel, tie, tux) are perfectly readable.

Though very simple, I appreciate it when a photographer takes a step back and to see even a basic moment and doesn't let it slip away because there is mystical love in this image.

Funny and unexpected moment. What can I say? It is a joke my 7 year old would like but it works at any age. A wedding is the most planned event with lots of expectations and anticipation of perfection. The embarrassing moments that happen anyway are humbling and give us a break from the seriousness of it all.
