Uncomplicated yet elegant composition and tones. Perfect detail. There is great texture and color in this shot. It is composed well. Bright and graphic detail shot. The composition of the flowers is pretty and you can practically feel the texture of them.

The image is so monochromatic that the figure stands out. You really get a sense of what the actual bride is like by seeing the details that she has chosen. Nice still-life. Pretty light. Nice shallow focus. I like how the silver of the dress reflects with the silver of the cameras.

This is a really unusual way to look at the bouquets. Everything around them is from the same color palette yet rich wtih texture. There is so much to look at yet the frame includes very little. Beautifully framed. Great juxtaposition between gorgeous flowers and the simple brown cardboard they come in. This grouping of bouquets in a plain cardboard box against a blank wall gives a good sense of the story behind the perfectly placed details that guests get to see. It's real, yet pretty.

Unusual and extremely well seen by the photographer. This is such a great detail that the photographer has chosen. Someone has obviously trusted the little boy enough with the rings but not enough to not tie them to his button. I like how his little fingers that poke out of his sleeves are so small compared to the rings. You can see the weight and size of the responsibility. Nice crop. Very sweet image.

The composition of this picture puts the focus on the rustic location, and then draws the eye into the equally rustic bouquets. The photo gives a good sense of place, and communicates the tone of the wedding to come.

Nice light and crop. Having it in black and white adds a timeless quality. It's such a funny and unexpected visual.

Wonderful design and symmetry make this one a winner. The picture looks like a party - no need for people. The use of 'light bubbles' here gives these appetizers all the fizz of a champagne cocktail, signaling a party is underway!

Curiosity (we call it being snoopy) is a defining characteristic of a good photojournalist. This is a fun, campy picture. Is that what is to become of the beauty of the wedding day and all the accoutrements? An exquisite arrangement of flowers contrasts with the ugliness of every day life. Kind of how the wedding day contrasts with many of the days that follow? Not mine, of course. Love the juxtaposition of the beautiful flowers and the not-so attractive condiments.

Images should make us feel something. A wedding presents an entire day of emotions. But a sensitive photographer sees the world in a unique way – shooting images we can feel and taste. Look at this image long enough and you can feel her hand (or his) curled through your own fingers. That is the “magic†of great photography.

The sparklers create a hint of a heart shape while the crowd circles around them. Everyone's feet, posture and clothing add so much to look at.
