Excellent reactions from the crowd and above average timing on the part of the photographer to capture the peak action of this cake for cake moment really make this image stand out. Every face is worth a look.

This is one funny picture. Nice cropping brings you into the important part of the picture (the kid sandwiched between mom and dad). The placing of the kids hands is also humorous. I also like the un-tucked shirt. Sweet.

This image is one of the rewards you receive when you do give that extra time. I really liked the mood. Terrific quiet moment- the guy in the back makes it!

This poignant tender moment of a serviceman and his bride is a quintessential photojournalistic moment - especially in these war times. It honors a different kind of wedding and I find it very touching. What it offers in content makes up for its slight technical weaknesses.

I like this photo because the blur in the photo captures the movement of the women swirling and dancing in their colorful and ornate saris.

Good prank. Humor and surprise. Photographer puts the viewer in the middle of the event. Brides reaction isn't overstated. Looks genuine.

This image had a lot of nice things happening. There is such a temptation to concentrate just on the bride and groom. It is nice to see the dance including the terrific moment off to the right side. It makes the dance more real. Great use of light as well.

Great behind the scenes moment and good angle. Her expression makes this image - it all came together. Nice job. You know this woman's dogs are barkin' when she's willing to drop in the middle of the restroom to relax. From the look on the woman's face, she's feeling relieved for the moment to chill. Although the fluorescent ceiling light is so bright, it's balanced out by the square paper towel dispenser and they turn into compositional elements. My eyes go straight to the feet and then to her face because of the angle the photographer used to make the picture.

Just a great candid moment of participants hamming. Nice framing and a clean technique.

This photo does a nice job of capturing the cake cutting aspect of the reception. To me this is the kind of photo one would want to see years later, not the cake being forced into one another's face, which many other photos showed. The confetti hanging in the air adds interest to the photograph.

Elegant dramatic image of the bouquet toss from the point of view of the recipients – which puts the viewer in the pack. Nice peak action – hands up, bouquet mid air and all delightfully back-lit

This photo makes me smile. I like the expressions on the couple's faces and the good-natured way she is leading him onto the dance floor. It seems like they're having a good time, but in a way they would like to remember and see again.

Just enough motion to enhance the tension as the guys struggle for the garter. The peak action gives you a front row seat like you're court side for the big game.

It's hard to say exactly what's going on in this picture, but it does evoke a certain mood. Rain mixed with the hand on the face hint that something's amiss. I also like the door of the trailer in the background being opened a crack with the person peeking out to see how the umbrella man is doing. Nice use of black-and-white also adds to the gray mood.

A genuinely humorous and unpredictable moment captured by the photographer. Color handled better than most in this category.

I like the composition of this photo and the moment it captures of the couple kissing and paying no attention to the group of men standing nearby.

I always tell my students to go right for what is catching your eye and the photographer did this here. This great reception detail allowed a unique and lyrical image from the wedding. Perfect- technically as well. I really liked this image.
