10th place in Mirrors (creative use of)
The WPJA contest judges presented Maxim Zaytsev, a Russia wedding photographer, with this Master Piece Award as recognition for top wedding photojournalism in the industry.
The leading documentary wedding photographers in the world enter their best photos to the Wedding Photojournalist Association's photography competitions. They want their wedding reportage photographs to be evaluated and selected by some of the most notable and respected working picture editors and photojournalists in the news industry (these are not wedding photographers or other WPJA members judging their work). Winning these competitions is a true accomplishment for a wedding photographer.

- If not for the telltale glint of mirror splicing through the scene above the veil, I might have been perplexed by this delightful moment altogether longer than I ought. Funny, however, is that the giving away of a clue gives away nothing at all in the end. The photo remains as it always was and will be - storytelling in it's own self mirth and any further mirth you might wish to add.
