3rd place in Other Vendors
The WPJA contest judges presented Edoardo Agresti, a Italy wedding photographer, with this Master Piece Award as recognition for top wedding photojournalism in the industry.
The leading documentary wedding photographers in the world enter their best photos to the Wedding Photojournalist Association's photography competitions. They want their wedding reportage photographs to be evaluated and selected by some of the most notable and respected working picture editors and photojournalists in the news industry (these are not wedding photographers or other WPJA members judging their work). Winning these competitions is a true accomplishment for a wedding photographer.

- The bride and groom, presumably lit by a slaved strobe, anchor this vivid moment of a “fire breather” performing at their reception. The cool light of the flash brings an interesting balance of light and color to this dramatic scene.
- Great balance of action, light and composition — and a tough technical image to make. The performer is just about to eat the flame (which is a perfect highlight to his body) as the couple enjoys the show. I only wish that the light on the couple was warmer to match the beautiful light on the performer.
