Emotion

Tight joy, presented in black and white where the groom is bending the bride over and she is in absolute bliss makes this image jump out of the crowd. I wonder how it was shot, clearly it's a long isolating lens, but its emotion and joy are expressed perfectly in the faces and the body language.

This was just a nice moment where we know exactly how the bride and mother feel. It is one of those Kleenex moments

This photo is a winner because of the expression of the bride in the mirror. This photographer used the mirror to convey more information about the people, not simply as an artistic device. Perhaps a slight crop on the right to remove the dark line.

The wide angle shot of an elderly man wiping the tears from his eyes as hands reach out to comfort his obvious joy and distress at the same time. In one frame the joy of life's major changes and moments is captured in what this man feels about his family. This is a frame that could have been shot tight or a little loose, and it would have had the same impact. Profound

Another elderly member of the family makes a joke or a faux pax and the reaction is a moment in time. The other elements of the photograph aren't needed, but it does what a lot of good photographs do, it captures the people and events of the day in graceful, memorable moments.

This is a beautifully framed photo with lots of emotion. The photo is a very nice in color and has the feel of a romance novel. This is a good thing.

The tiny little teardrop in the man's eye stands out very clearly even though it is very small. The moment is very nice and quiet. I wish the frame could be a bit cleaner though, because the people in the background (seen over the man's shoulder) are a bit distracting. I still like the image based on the pure emotional content, though.

You waited for this, didn't you?? Beautifully composed with the groom (?) in the background and the perfect light on her face and tear makes this photo.

This could be a poster. Nice! Not many photographers would have gotten this picture.

The photographer did a nice job of capturing one of those split-second moments of surprise.

The light is so strong in this photograph, that the only thing you can do with such a spotlight, is exploit it. Capturing the subtle and tender touch between the couple is nothing short of beautiful. The tenderness and light make it so compelling, my only question is what was the quality of the light. In black and white I can't tell, and yet it works in any medium.

This is super subtle, and although on the surface it doesn't bowl you over with emotion, but the more I looked at it, the more obvious the emotion was. His intent stare is really powerful. The quality of the light is really nice as well. The photographer did a great job in capturing the subtle intensity.

The crying bride would have been a nice moment in itself, but add the little girl looking in on it and it completes the scene. A very nice picture.

Private moment in public place

The low angle used by this photographer helps focus the attention on these two by cleaning up the background. The image could have easily been lost (because of the cloth in the bride's hand) if the photographer was in a different position.
