Bride & Groom Toasting

This was a nice quiet moment, beautiful light and gave a good idea of the sense of relief this couple must have felt. I like the idea of a couple so engaged in each other and their day that they barely notice that there's a drink poured by an anonymous guy. They look happy and tired, still perfect in their wedding wear, flowers still fresh, but the polish has gone off the day. Time to start a life, if only they could shed that guy with the bubbly.

Nicely done. The bride has a lovely smile which is matched by the smile on her husband's face. The light on her face makes her stand out from her husband. They are looking in opposite directions, which has the effect of enlarging the photograph. The bride's gaze takes the viewer to the outstretched glasses to the left of the frame. The groom's gaze takes the viewer out into the unseen room. There is a natural flow in the frame from left to right following the arms of the toasters coming in from the left and leading to the groom's raised glass at the right of the frame. The composition is strong and the moment is a good one – the kind of moment wedding photographers try to capture.

Works on many levels - unexpected time for them to raise their glasses, nice weather element to it, framing. The rain really helps this image.

This photo worked well because of the clean composition and graphics. It was simple and well executed. This picture is all about graphics. The expressions on the faces humanize it, which makes it a nice graphic

Nicely done, though a little crazy to look at as an image. Good for this category though.

I'm a little bothered by the background but the entangled arms and expressions make up for it.

Very sweet emotion in this image. The only thing that bothers me is the line in the middle of it, almost separating the groom from the bride

I really like the moment and the composition in this photograph. Most photographs of the wedding couple on the dais are messy. There is often too much clutter in either the foreground of the background to get a clean shot. But this photogapher didn't have that problem. Or if he did, it isn't evident from this photograph. The moment in this image is a very good one. The bride is leaning in strongly from the left. Her husband is in the center with his arm around the young man seated next to him. The young man is smiling brightly and looking straight ahead. The bride and groom are looking straight into his eyes with strong admiration. You can tell they are very fond of him. Behind them is a mirror, which reflects the wedding party seated at their tables. That is an added touch which helps give the viewer a feel for the room and the couple. This is a formal wedding. Because of the attractive, seemingly well-off couple, it feels somewhat “Kennedyesque.â€
