Nice composition and moment in this image. Would have liked to see at least one face, but it was not completely necessary for this one since sometimes the other elements in a photo make up for that.

Three hands, two heads, one gaze right at us. Add the almost tragic body language of the bent-over man, and you get an emotionally loaded picture. This is, like the previous picture, a MADE picture, as opposed to a taken picture. The photographer built the frame around an emotional moment, but the emotional content of the picture relies on more than just an emotional moment. That makes it a much more rich, layered photo with more layered emotion

Such a tender and real moment. I loved this image. The light was beautiful and the moment seemed real. Juxtaposition of young and old in a really warm moment.

This image evoked the most emotion and movement even added to it. I also like that the bride is not the only expressive person in the frame.

A quiet picture that relies on careful framing to add layers to the still contentment on the bride's face. The photographer built the picture around the bride; the girls in the foreground, the men in the background, even the bubbles in the air, all revolve around the bride. Just enough of the rock-solid church. This is a MADE picture as opposed to a taken picture. The photographer saw a stage and waited for all the players upon it to be in just right place to build a photo that created emotion, rather than just record it. Nicely done.

There were many photographs of people crying at weddings. Many were touching in the tenderness they depicted. But only a few were able to capture those touching moments in a way that was both emotionally powerful and photographically interesting. This photograph did that well. The composition is strong. The mother and father frame the woman between them. The focus is on the eyes of the woman in the center of the frame. The emotion on her face and the faces of the father and mother give the photograph its power and poignancy.

Too many fish eye lenses in this contest but this is one example of where it's not too distracting.
