Ordinary timing but classy light and great composition. This image works, but not well as a standalone. I am a big fan of context for photos, but it is well composed and nicely done

This is a pretty complete picture in which the photographer organized a chaotic situation for us. As a result we see the absurdity of the moment. It's all about little body language: the leaning back of the blindfolded man, the jaunty flair of the leg, the one person in the background clapping while the others seem weirdly still.

This man is playing the garter removal for all its potential, as is the woman who owns the leg upon which the garter sits. The photographer did the right thing capturing the moment.

A good example of how direction of movement and leading lines draw the eye to the focal point of a photograph. The subjects on both sides of the frame in this photograph all direct the eye to the bride's garter, which is wrapped around her ankle and being pulled off around her shoe by the groom's teeth! The women on the left of the frame helping the bride and the men on the right of the frame helping the groom are a perfect compliment to one another in body language and expression. This is a funny photograph of a moment at a wedding as it starts to get a little wild.

Most unusual. Clean image. Well executed.

This was a hard category to judge as bouquet and garter tossing are kind of hard to shoot and there are not a lot of ways to do it. This image is the only one that really works as a standalone image for me in this whole group of photos. I like seeing the festive lights and the ladies in the background. It is also good timing as I like the way the bride is so stretched out.

The only thing that isn't perfect about this photograph is the distracting chandelier behind the bouquet the bride is throwing and the black and white checkered floor. But that isn't enough to keep this from being a terrific photograph. The positioning of the bride in the frame, her hands as she tosses the bouquet, the position of the bouquet, the women in the background with hands up waiting expectantly for the bouquet, the muted color tonal values, the moment itself, are perfect.

This is a difficult category because there is always so much going on and it seems difficult to get it all in one shot. The photographer did a good job of capturing all the elements and people in one shot. Very well done.

This photograph captures the frenzy and pandemonium that usually ensues from the bouquet toss better than any other I've seen. The expressions on the faces of the women is just wonderful. The bride's bouquet is in the perfect spot in the frame and the faces and arms and everything else in the frame directs the viewer's eyes to the bouquet. The blured background gives a feeling of motion to the still photograph. And the boy on the floor adds to the humor and craziness of the scene.
