This is an example of a picture that says what words cannot. But, I guess I'll give it a try. This picture is all about energy. The photographer found the motion of the legs, the twirl of the white dress, in contrast to the earth-bound black legs in the background and the ceremonial severity of a line of flags. The result is that the dancing legs are even lighter, faster than they would be if the background were of other dancers.

Great moment that captures the humour. I like this photograph because of what it communicates. Moments like this – “May I see your ring? Oh, it's so lovely!†– happen all the time at weddings. But this bride is definitely not a material girl! She's in it for love. The composition is clean and contains only the essential elements needed to tell the story. The bride bending away to kiss her husband as the woman admires her ring makes the viewer smile. A nice moment.

This is such a beautifully comoposed photograph of a spontaneous (and slightly surreal) moment. Every individual, every line of sight in the frame takes the eye to the bride on the shoulders of the wedding party. The bizarre clown's head the bride is wearing is perfectly positioned in the frame. I love the two men in the foreground looking up at the bride, woman in the bottom right of the frame who is looking at the woman to her left whose two hands point up toward the bride. Everything in this image brings attention back to the bride. I have as much fun looking at the individuals in this photograph as they seem to be having at the wedding. A joyous photograph. Can you hear the music?

I was drawn to this image for its distinctiveness. It shows the photographer stayed with the couple throughout the day, not just standard times. Almost wondered if it is was a little too tight, but still worked.

Great interplay between the couple and the photographs behind them.

Really nice way to shoot a common moment. The photo evokes emotion without showing either of their faces. Nicely done.
