This image is quite different, and I couldn't help but come back to it time and again. Well done to try something that is quite a departure from the traditional. The composition alone wouldn't have pulled it off, but the body language of the bride and groom is what sells it.

A simple concept, emphasizing light and form, executed very nicely. It's hard to say a lot about this photo. Right place, right light, right moment. Click. You'd got a picture that you could call a portrait or a beautiful feature.

Of all the images, this image told me something about the personality of the couple. It really speaks to the spirit of CREATING an image. Every detail feels effortlessly intended. So creative! Nice light. Love the guy on the left—though I wish he was toned down a bit more.

Simple and beautiful. Everything narrows in to them. I just love this image. If your hometown is important to you on your wedding day, this is certainly a way to capture it. Beautiful! The body language is awkward, but adds to the moment in this case.

Everything works in this picture. The moment. The background. The lens choice. The details – especially that groom's feet, crossed as if he's at ease. Nicely printed, too.

This is a very intriguing and non-conventional wedding portrait. The tight cropping and serious expressions take it beyond the expected and make it a photograph that can stand on its own

This image certainly places this couple's wedding! I love the location, and the action included as part of the portrait. Great use of the artificial light, and the underexposed ambiant. The moody light, color and unique location combined with a moment of joy makes this an image of pleasure and beauty.

Surprise is an important element in portraiture, and was largely underutilized in this category. A lot of the images were pure camp, this photographer's image was an exception.

Humor and a sense of place makes this fun and appealing.
