Gorgeous light and framing made this a clear winner. Very evocative. The strong light, angle of the bodies and well-placed hand expresses a moment of subtle passion. The cropping to include the man's mouth adds to the intimacy of the moment.

What a great moment to see. Simple seeing, simple moment, simply beautiful photograph. It works because we're let into a little piece of the wedding story. The muted, almost pastel, colors help this photograph's total subtle message.

I don't think every wedding photo has to look like it was spotless. I cherish reality. It's nice to see a true—yet still quaint—behind the scenes view. What happened here? We don't know, but we're intrigued. This is an unusual wedding picture, which is why it catches the eye. All the elements are there, but dirty dishes and flowers that don't look ready for prime time surround them. Most of us would have walked past this picture without thinking of raising our cameras.

This detail image is combined with a delicate moment and composition. The expressions of the hands against the folds in the fabric with the soft light make it a a photograph that goes beyond the genre. More hands. These are hard at work, each worth a look. The photographer found a situation, then found a moment with every finger of each of the four hands was interestingly engaged.

The shabbiness of the screen sets off this arrangement, with beautiful color. Great color and great idea. Nice light. Very few of the color details really worked. And rarely did a cake detail stand out. This one did. Although the composition still feels a little off.

Different but still beautiful. Timeless, almost film-noir feel. This detail really invokes a mood.

With all the details that are found at a wedding, this image says more than any others photographed. Good eye to catch this small, subtle, but very telling moment.

Nice find! This image just made me smile, and happy that the photographer found it. Quite unusual for a wedding image, but it says a lot about the girls involved. A great contrast to how they must all have looked when fully dressed! This image speaks to good seeing on the part of the photographer to catch such a telling detail. The black and white floor and white dresses make the colors in the skin and feet jump out.

The photographer gave the couple at least one reason to be thankful for rain with this tactile shot of flowers seen through rain drops.
