I really liked the abstract quality of this image, plus I have never seen it before. Nice to follow the cake after the bride and groom are done- it paid off for this photographer. Good use of zoomed strobe to add interesting light to the repetition of this situation. Color palette is working

I just really liked this picture. It is sweet (no pun…) It is just a simple little story-telling picture- classic PJ.

Good sense of motion and color helping to give the feel of the business of the situation. Good way to make something interesting out of a mundane situation.

That's one large cake, one very happy bride and wonderful light. The bride's laughter animates and enlivens the photo's striking graphic qualities.

The bride's predicament - cake in her cleavage - could be embarrassing. Instead, thankfully, she seems to have a sense of humor about it, and that enjoyment extends to the viewer of the photograph. The groom's expression is -- forgive the pun -- the icing on the cake. It's hard to tell if his scrunched up face is one of guilt, commiseration or the embarrassment his wife doesn't show; whatever its cause it makes the image a winner.

This picture just shows what can happen when a groom gets a little too excited. That bride is just covered in cake and icing. The icing on the back of the groom's head makes it apparent she wasn't blameless in the whole cake fight situation. Great moment.

This image is so refreshingly unexpected and glamorous. the lighting alone is spectacular, and certainly it captures a beautiful memory artfully.

I think the thing I enjoy about this picture is the photographer found a picture that included this young girl in the big moment. Of course, she's only getting a few crumbs (at the moment), but it's just a sweet moment. I would suggest a slight crop from the right of the image to really bring you to the three faces and ring of hands.

It is nice to see the photographer turn the camera to the edges of the event- you get nice moments like this. Well done.

A striking, somewhat disconcerting yet funny portrait; the tilted horizon serves to strengthen the odd ball effect. Why, one wonders, is he standing there, seemingly content, with cake smeared on his face.

A comedic moment. Preserving the detail in the cake frosting while getting good skin tones requires a careful blend of flash and ambient light.
