Composition, lighting and a special moment make this a winner. It's a common scene made wonderful by those “wish me luck†fingers. This is a story-telling image in a true moment of levity; a woman's hope for what is to come made visual as she moves from fiancée to bride. Delightful photo, appealing composition and superior light. This photograph has so much going for it---really love the gesture of clearly the bride's fingers crossed. But I love the ambiguity of the fact that you can't see her face. The light is beautiful.

A very sweet moment where this young lady is sharing in the love of the day as she too is being cared for by getting her hair done. Successfully captures a moment within the moment. Evokes a feeling of freshness and a quixotic era, beautiful lighting and ambiance.

This is a real moment. It's a great scene that reflects the often less than desirable locations given to the groom for wedding preparation. I would have enjoyed seeing the bride's area. The composition respects the circumstance. It does not try to be more than what it already is – a great moment simply recorded.

The makeup in the window [photo] has a combination of conceptual composition, stunning light and subtle moment that lifted the image above the rest.

The juxtaposition of poodle and dresses is a crowd pleaser. The dog with a special haircut speaks to the fancy dresses in the background. It helped that one of the dresses was apparently for a child. Or … perhaps the dog was going to wear the dress. It's an example of a delightful moment brought to us by good “seeing†by the photographer.

This picture is great because it shows the shared excitement between the bride and her bride's maid over the big day and the beauty of being a bride.

The putting the shirt on [like the makeup in the window] has a similar combination of conceptual composition, stunning light and a subtle moment that lifted [these] images above the rest.

Good “seeingâ€. Juxtaposition of bride preparation scene and mirror works to convey bittersweet moment.

It's an incredible day; the fruit of elaborate planning, hopes, dreams and desires. It's a gathering of family and friends all wishing the best. The photographer saw a moment and made the common seem strangely beautiful. Photography often works like that; a fleeting frame becomes a timeless image.
